Arches Anonymous is an independent fashion journal of extreme footwear. We photograph ballet-inspired heels, platforms, and couture height the way a magazine photographs a jacket: cut, material, posture, light.
The archive is built around silhouette. A ballet heel on a stair — pointe-line toe, ribbon as construction, platform as lift. A red sole against a seamed stocking. A platform that still has to walk a city. The same conversation as high-shine eveningwear at Saint Laurent, uncompromising line at McQueen, and the stage grammar of performers who treat height as part of the garment.
Ballet heels sit at the centre on purpose. They are a design problem — how far a shoe can push the line of the foot and still read as fashion — not a novelty search term. Public lookbooks are teasers. The longer sequences live in the subscriber archive.
